Franz Ferdinand will be releasing a "dub" version of this year's Tonight LP (copies were already circulated with the set's deluxe edition), called Blood, and here's a sample, the "Can't Stop Feeling" dub remix of "Die on the Floor".

FF produced "Tonight" with Dan Carey.
Dan's CV includes an ‘apprenticeship’ with legendary south London dub specialist The Mad Professor, owner of Ariwa Sounds, one of the UK’s premier reggae labels.
Using his background influences, he has taken songs from "Tonight" and made these inspired dub versions.
Blood was originally featured as part of the box set & double disc versions of Tonight: Franz Ferdinand, though the new version will include the additional song, Be Afraid, a version of Dream Again.
Blood will be available on 1st June 2009 through Domino Records, 500 vinyl copies of the album will be available through selected independent outlets in advance of the release to celebrate Record Store Day.

FF have a new single coming out -Can’t Stop Feeling- through Domino on Monday July 6th 2009.
Available on 7” & download, the single will also feature the band’s version of LCD Soundsystem’s All My Friends.
It is taken from Tonight: Franz Ferdinand, which was released earlier this year.

Announce UK tour dates.
Franz Ferdinand have announced details of a UK tour in October 2009.
The full list of dates are as follows:

Tickets for the shows will be priced at £20 (except London where they will be £21.50) and are available for general sale via www.gigsandtours.com (for the English dates) & www.seetickets.com (for the Scottish dates). The tickets will go on general sale at 9am on Friday 24th April.
The band recently completed a short sold-out UK tour. A number of the shows on the tour were recorded, and in conjunction with www.livehernow.com & Domino the Glasgow, Birmingham, London & Manchester gigs were made available to buy on the night after each gig and are currently still available via www.liveherenow.com/news.asp.
Each show CD costs £15.
They head to the U.S. for a tour starting in mid-April (including a slot at the Coachella festival) before returning in May to play festivals across Europe during the summer, including slots at both Glastonbury (headlining the second stage), T in the Park & a headline performance at Bennicasim. They also headline the Fuji festival in Japan in July.

Franz Ferdinand – Amsterdam show date change.
Franz Ferdinand’s show at the Paradiso, Amsterdam on Friday 13th March is being re-scheduled to Monday 11th May as the band will be part of a televised charity event in aid of Comic Relief’s ‘Red Nose Day’.
This charity’s aim is a ‘Just world free from poverty’ and works tirelessly to help transform the lives of people around the world living with poverty and injustice. This is a something the band feel very strongly about and were honored to be asked to be involved.
